Violinist Joshua Peckins Presents "Music Speaks"

This violin recital takes listeners on a whirlwind tour of musical styles, cultures, and time periods, ranging from a majestic Bach fugue and Paganini’s legendary 24th Caprice of almost unsurpassed virtuosity, to Jessie Montgomery’s exciting new Rhapsody No 2 and Hosokawa’s “new form of Japanese spiritual culture and music” (quote from Hosokawa’s bio). In addition to performing these wonderful pieces, violinist Joshua Peckins will introduce the composers and their music with spoken word, welcoming the audience into a rich experience of the music.
